Troubleshooting
Get unstuck with versions, editing, saves, the sample guide, and AI setup
Start with the symptom you see. Check the project and working version before repeating an action.
The QuickBite guide will not continue
Choose the guide's evidence link, such as Open the order workflow. The guide expects its sample version and the relevant evidence to be loaded. A different selected version can leave its continue control unavailable.
Use Jump to a tour stop to revisit a task. If part of the sample was changed or removed, follow the guidance in Explore Archflow; creating a fresh sample is a separate choice from revisiting an existing one.
I can view a model but cannot edit it
Look for Read / Edit controls and check the working version. Viewer permissions, a read-only version, or content owned by an imported project can prevent editing. Ask a project administrator for the appropriate access; changing your diagram layout does not change your access role.
My diagram arrangement disappeared
Check which surface you used:
| Surface | What to check |
|---|---|
| Architecture Canvas | Use the same browser, project, and version. Choose Save after changing its selection or arrangement |
| Architecture View editor | Choose Save and wait for success before leaving. Reopen the same View and version |
| Explorer | It is an exploration surface. Create a View when the arrangement needs to become shared documentation |
Saving a canvas does not create a checkpoint. See Key concepts.
Decisions is empty, missing, or paused
Open Documentation → Decisions. It is no longer a separate top-level project area.
QuickBite has automatic AI work turned off. In other projects, the Decisions page can explain that analysis is disabled, the open-findings backlog is full, or the daily budget has been reached. Review pending findings or wait for the indicated reset, depending on the message. You can still request a focused analysis from Archie when your AI setup permits it.
A document or diagram is missing from a publication
Check the View's documentation selection and the publication's selected sections and Documents. Review the draft preview, then republish after changes that should reach readers. For external readers of a private publication, create a guest share link; saving or previewing a draft does not enable sharing.
Use Publishing and sharing for the complete sequence.
I installed the skills but my coding agent cannot connect
Skills describe how the agent should work. MCP connects it to Archflow. Complete both steps in Settings → Developer tools and perform the guided connection verification. Check whether the connection has account scope or is bound to one project.
Do not paste tokens into chat to debug the connection. Use the repository setup guide and MCP reference.
Archie cannot use a file or another project
An attached document must finish processing before Archie can read it. Conversation attachments are private unless explicitly saved to Project Knowledge. Reference projects need a conversation-specific read-only grant; approving one does not give Archie permission to edit that project.
Check Archie context and attachments for the relevant controls.
I still need help
Record the page, selected version, action, and visible error. A screenshot of the relevant controls helps explain the problem. Leave out tokens and private share URLs. For installation and worker problems, use self-hosting operations.
