Sketch

Rapidly explore and edit architecture structure on an auto-layout canvas

Sketch is a fast modeling surface under Model → Sketch. Pull existing elements onto an auto-layout canvas, inspect their evidence, and create missing systems or relationships while you explore.

Build The Canvas

  • Drag an existing system from the palette onto the canvas
  • Use Add all to include every project system
  • Expand an element to reveal deeper architecture levels
  • Collapse or hide elements to reduce visual noise
  • Use Clear to remove everything from the sketch without deleting model elements

Sketch layout is automatic. Use an Architecture View when you need a curated, saved arrangement for a specific audience.

Edit The Architecture

Dragging New System onto the canvas creates a real model element in the selected version. Drawing a relationship creates a real project relationship after you complete its details.

Because these actions change the architecture model, confirm the active version and your edit permissions first.

Inspect And Refine

Selecting an element opens its detail panel with relationships, workflow participation, documentation, behavior, capability, and Data Model context when available. You can open supported workflows in the workflow editor without leaving the sketching flow.
